Bringing knowledge beyond the university where it can meet the needs of Colorado families.

By utilizing resources within the university such as Extension Specialists, Morgan County Extension is able to disseminate current, accurate, and research-based information on topics including, but not limited to:

Meat Quality Education

Assuring the safety of our food supply begins long before food reaches the table.  National/state quality assurance programs provide guidelines and strategies for producers which help to ensure safe food for human consumption, while providing high quality animal care and husbandry.

Beef Quality Assurance is a nationally coordinated, state implemented program that provides systematic information to U.S. beef producers and beef consumers on how common sense husbandry techniques can be coupled with accepted scientific knowledge to raise cattle under optimum management and environmental conditions.
